22 June – 6 July: Being still at the Centre

HAPPY SOLSTICE and welcome to the beginning of a new frequency year in the Tibetan Pulsing Calendar. Have you ever thought about it, when something is truly new we cannot even recognise it. We can only do so when we’ve seen it before or heard about it. This first cycle of the frequency year is about fresh renewal, starting from the unknown and the unknowable. No judgment, no goal. Being a true beginner in this moment. It’s especially about centring yourself in your own middle. Being still. Going deep enough to move past the sense of form or no form, losing the labels while being awake, aware, available.

In the middle is “The Point“, in which time and space e-merge into and as essential beingness. Universal and individual unfolding evolve from this origin. Consciousness remembering itself as divine oneness, which includes the human limitation as an expression of the truth of non separateness. Realising this happens in as many ways as there are individuals looking for it and yet it is simple in origin. The discovery of truth is in the middle, at the centre – of anything and everything we could say, if that doesn’t sound too easy for you. The centre is in the middle of time as this moment, in the middle of location as here. In the middle of you as no-thingness, accessible through a doorway at the centre of your belly called the Hara. Liberation is in feeling what is as it is without judgment. That will inevitably give space for the perception of motion and non motion, sound, noise and all vibration as silence itself. Also known as Zazen.

However, while we’re on the way there’s a lot of motion and commotion whirling around the perfectly silent middle. Hara is an energy centre, not an organ in the body but an intrinsic part of the body-energy-system, in Eastern cultures referred to as the centre of our being.
We have access to our heart by focusing on it. In the same way we can access our very centre of being by focusing to the middle of our belly, in Asian cultures known as the Hara. (article on Hara function in the health section)
It is at its centre that the power of outgoing masculine active force can finally meet the all encompassing feminine receptivity and they can both grow from dual separation to a balanced partnership. The same energy that expresses as aggression, anger or fear of surrender transforms into loving awareness when it is met by a feminine embrace of receptive openness, held in wisdom of discernment and the confidence of aware presence. All the above are your Hara qualities! Uniting the masculine and feminine forces within ourselves puts an end to war.

On the first day of the new cycle, “part 2 of 9th June” (in the former cycle) repeats as an overlap shock point and blessing day … here’s that text again:
Part 2: The LION KING – the excellency of clear and undistracted watchfulness. Being aware of what goes on by feeling. Seeing it all, what goes on while perceiving through pictures. This will flood the kind of strength through your system that transforms a sheep into a lion. No-one and nothing can push you over.
Such perception can only grow out of kindness, fuelled by compassion. Embracing all the possibilities of your being, all the crazy and fallible parts equally with the bright shining divine and genius bits. When you own your total self as a possibility, holding it with loving strong arms, you will be embraced by the world around you with equal strength. It enables you to determine the intrinsic goodness in the greatest villain and also to determine not to engage with the villain, without needing to hate or separate. Comprehension is a path to oneness.

This day’s shock point waves support us to put an end to unnecessary suffering about not being loved enough. The moaning and complaining about what’s not, about what’s lacking and missing in our life, especially when it comes to being loved has narrowed our view. We can’t see the love that surrounds us any more. The truth is that we all carry wounds from the past. We’ve been through painful moments in childhood, where we felt forgotten, overlooked, left alone or generally not loved in the way we wanted to be. That happened. To us all. Mum and Dad have failed, haven’t they, and don’t we too as mums and dads, brothers and sister, partners and friends – after all who is perfect, who manages unconditional love for oneself and others flawlessly all the time …
It is from childhood that we carry a perception of very high expectations of the people around us. Those caregivers used to hold God-like powers in their position of authority. They should give us just about everything and fulfil all our needs, before we even verbalise them. Up to certain small age that’s how it’s meant to be. Later, we need to learn to shift from that view and realise that we’ve grown to be our own authority with access to taking care of ourselves. God, the higher forces, love itself has never forgotten us. It’s high time to forgive mums and dads and other big figures – they did a good job to give us birth and raised us enough to be exactly here right now! – to explore, to grow, to love, to liberate.

Theses two days hang together. The 27th invites our focus on seeing what happens when we do not manage to relieve ourselves and our elders from the angry blames that rise out of wanting too much from others and the outside. When we miss embracing and feeling the serenity and divinity of our own self in our centre, we begin to want from the outside. We’ve all experienced that however hard we try, we will never get it all. It’ll never be complete. When we’re lucky, there is that sense alive in us that is aware of feeling incomplete. The choice then is either to walk around like a thief and steal energy, things, stories, ideas – whatever – from other people and grow more frustrated while using one’s pristine gift of awareness for insufficient purposes or we use that same awareness that makes us a good thief and turn it to where the real treasure box is: inside!
Just imagine: there’s a huge garbage pile next to the entrance of a gold mine. You want to find gold. Will you start digging up the garbage pile … or enter the gold mine?! By turning our awareness IN we enter that gold mine. All the treasures and longings for being complete will be met in your own being, just do it. Sit and be still.

Our mentality and emotion will be supported with some extra energy today. It’s one of them again, a day with part 1 and part 2 shock point waves.

Part 1: Having it all in the grip – until it grips you. We’re all trying our best or worst to keep some kind of control over our lives. Life itself doesn’t have such strange ideas, Nonetheless, we do. Especially on the path of spiritual seeking and finding, when we have acquired a certain amount of “truths”, the tendency to juggle reality grows on us. We can actually do that and in some cases it may have a beautiful and beneficial influence or effect. BUT … the moment our personal desire or self-importance runs the show, we’re trapped. The only way out of that trap is to sit in it long enough, until we can’t avoid noticing that reality juggles us. While looking a the demolished heap of our construct we may find the middle again, maybe a bit wiser and balanced, ready to be used by life as the player in the moment.

Part 2: The divine merging of the the internal and external. Duality consciousness in life is ultimately or objectively speaking an illusion. It’s just pretty hard to see that, while having to live and obey the laws of apparent cause and effect in daily life, with minds that are only capable of manoeuvring between objects, thus always creating a seer and a seen (dual). And yet, we’re all drawn to the revelation of being the oneness that actually deletes our separateness and therefore also “the other”. In order to get there we begin from a ‘me and you.’ When meeting one another in divinity and dignity, we realise our own internal inside the other. We share the juice of life but we each drink from our own cup. We are the other, we do not have to have them. That’s when the fun begins in spending time together. And this is not only for lovers who include the sexual arena, it’s possible with just about anyone, yet it’s easier to start learning with the ones we’re inevitably and unavoidably drawn to.

Happy blessings to experience your divinity, immunity and true rebelliousness especially at the change of cycles on 5-7 July
